The remarkably popular climbing peak Pisang (6,091m.)  is an easy and unspoiled climbing peak in Nepal which is located just north of the Fabulous Manag Valley. The stunning highest mountain trekking trails such as Annapurna circuit trek, Thorang la Pass(5416 meters), Upper Mustang trek are Passes through Muktinath. Muktinath is a divine pilgrimage site of Buddhist and Hindu religions. The climbing peak Pisang (6,091m.)  was conquered by Germany expedition team in 1955 AD.  Pisang peak trekking provides on a variety of ethnic Nepali cultures and the magnificent views of snowy mountains including Annapurna II and IV, Tilicho Peak, Gangapurna and the Glacier Dome.

Pisang Peak Climbing is a combination of wonderful trekking and climbing of Himalayan ranges in Annapurna region. So, this climbing peak itinerary gives you an excellent opportunity to explore the natural and cultural wonders of Himalayas. Outline Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1335 meters above sea level)

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and trek preparation (1,300m/4,264 ft)

Day 3: Drive to Besisahar (760m/2,493ft) 7 hours

Day 4: Besisahar to Bahundanda (1,398m/45,86ft) 6 and half hours

Day 5: Bahundanda to Chamje (1,410m/4,625ft) 5-6hours

Day 6: Chamje to Dharapani (1950m/5-6 hours)

Day 7: Dharapani to Chame (2,630m. /5-6 hours)

Day 8: Chame to Upper Pisang (3,700m./5-6 hours)

Day 9: Acclimatization Day

Day 10: Upper Pisang to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4,380 m. /3-4 hours)

Day 11: Pisang Peak Base Camp to High Camp (5,400m. / 3-4 hours)

Day 12: Summit Pisang Peak and trek back to Base Camp (6,091m. /7-9 hours)

Day 13: Base Camp to Manag Valley (3,450m. /5-6 hours)

Day 14: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m. / 3-4 hours)

Day 15: Yak Kharka to Throng Pedi (4,400m. / 3-4 hours)

Day 16: Phedi to the Thorung-La Pass and to Muktinath (Up to 5416 m. /8½ hours)

Day 17: Muktinath to Kagbeni (3550 m. /3½ hours)

Day 18: Kagbeni to Jomsom (2,800m. /3-4 hours)

Day 19: Fly to Pokhara (820m. / 25 minutes)

Day 20: Drive (6 hrs)/Fly (30 minutes) back to Kathmandu (1,334m. / 6 hours)

Day 21: Fly back home

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1335 meters above sea level)

Upon arriving in Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport), a Trek Nepal Himalayas representative will meet you and help you transfer to your hotel by private bus. Enjoy a free evening to explore Kathmandu and recover from your jet-lag. Meet the Trek Nepal Himalayas staff during a short pre-tour briefing before welcome dinner with Trek Nepal Himalayas team.

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing and trek preparation (1,300m/4,264 ft)

Today, we take you on a few hour tours to the major attractions of Kathmandu valley. After spending few hours observing these wonderful sites, we again meet for a few hours to finalize your clothing and trekking gears (down jacket, trekking boots, sleeping bags etc.) required during the trek. The World Heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square (a historical structure offering architectural wonders), the Pashupatinath temple (a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva- lord possessing the power of destruction), Swyambhunath and Boudhanath (a Buddhist shrine dedicated to Lord Buddha- Light of Asia are the major attraction of today`s trek.

Day 3: Drive to Besisahar (760m/2,493ft) 7 hours

Early in the morning, our guides will pick you up at your hotel and escort you to the bus station to catch a bus to Besisahar. The bus heads west, leaving the Kathmandu Valley and the journey continues on a winding Prithvi Highway along the Trisuli River till Dumre. From Dumre, the bus heads north towards Besisahar, following the Marsyangdi River. After about 7 hours ride we reach the destination, Besisahar. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 4: Besisahar to Bahundanda (1,398m/45,86ft) 6 and half hours

Bahundanda is the destination set for the day. Following the dusty road from Besisahar, the journey continues north towards Bhulbhule. The trail passes through rice terraces and the sub-tropical forest. Khudi and Bhulbhule greet us with the first view of Manaslu, Himchuli and Nagdi Chuli. The fabulous view of Manaslu, Himchuli and Nagdi Chuli, beautiful view of the waterfall, and the trail accompanied by sub-tropical forest, rice terraces, roaring Marsyangdi River and the little settlements of Gurung and Tamang people their temples, monasteries, and Mane are the major attraction of this day`s trek.

Day 5: Bahundanda to Chamje (1,410m/4,625ft) 5-6hours

The journey to Chame will spectacular by the stunning view of more than 100m long waterfalls, culturally captivating communities, rice terraces, green woodland, unbelievable landscape, and the humming Marsyangdi River etc. From Bahundanda, we hike down to Syange through the rice terraces, following the east bank of the Marsyangdi River before we reached the Chamje. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6: Chamje to Dharapani (1950m/5-6 hours)

After breakfast, we will commence our journey to Dharapani. Today`s journey passes through the bank of Marsyandi river, and Tal. We follow the upstream way to reach Dharapani through rocky trails.

Day 7: Dharapani to Chame (2,630m. /5-6 hours)

Early morning after breakfast, we will again start our trek, where we will first pass Bagarchap and Danaque. Further, we go through several beautiful villages before reaching Chame. Chame is superb viewpoint for Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II. Overnight.

Day 8: Chame to Upper Pisang (3,700m./5-6 hours)

The journey to Upper Pisang is passed through Bhartang and the fabulous traditional village of apple garden. We then take the gradual path up to a bridge and we reach Dhukure Pokhari our lunch place. Walking with tree line, a fascinating view of Pisang peak on the north and Chulu peak along with beautiful Pisang village we will reach Upper Pisang. Overnight stay at Upper Pisang.

Day 9: Acclimatization Day

An acclimatization day helps to revamp with high elevation. Today we will explore around the upper pisang . The magnificent view of stunning Annapurna and Ganga Jamuna ranges as well as  Tilicho Lake make your today`s trip mesmerizing.

Day 10: Upper Pisang to Pisang Peak Base Camp (4,380 m. /3-4 hours)

After breakfast, we will take ascent up the trail to Pisang Base Camp via Kharka. Overnight at Kharka.

Day 11: Pisang Peak Base Camp to High Camp (5,400m. / 3-4 hours)

High Camp(5400m) is our next destination for Overnight. We will further hike up Pisan Peak High Camp. Overnight stay at Tent.

Day 12: Summit Pisang Peak and trek back to Base Camp (6,091m. /7-9 hours)

Today is our stunning day because we are going to conquer Pisang Peak in this day if the climate in our favor. After the successful summit, we will spend some time on the top, after then we will trek back to Pisang Base Camp for overnight.

Day 13: Base Camp to Manag Valley (3,450m. /5-6 hours)

After breakfast, we set off to Manang Valley A valley which has rich customs & tradition. With five to six hours walk we reach Manang. Overnight in Manang.

Day 14: Manang to Yak Kharka (4,110m. / 3-4 hours)

From Manang, we take steep up the trail to Tenki Manang village where we will get the fabulous views of Annapurna, Gangapurna and Tilicho Peak. Further, we will continue our trek and will reach Yak Kharka for overnight.

Day 15: Yak Kharka to Throng Pedi (4,400m. / 3-4 hours)

Today, we walk to reach Throng Pedi form Yak Kharka. We need to cross the offbeat path to reach Thorang Pedi.  Thorang Phedi is a small yet beautiful settlement situated at the foot of the famous high pass Thorang-La.

Day 16: Phedi to the Thorung-La Pass and to Muktinath (Up to 5416 m. /8½ hours)

The journey to Muktinath passes through Thorung la pass. It takes 4-6 hours to complete the wild Himalayan pass. After crossing the pass we will trek down to Muktinath which is a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists. Overnight at Muktinath.

Day 17: Muktinath to Kagbeni (3550 m. /3½ hours)

After breakfast, we will explore around Muktinath which is a divine place for Buddhist and Hindus people. The stunning view of Snow-capped mountains such as Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri etc. and Muktinath temple is the major attraction of this day. After exploring the wonderful place Muktinath, we will set off to Kagbeni for Overnight.

Day 18: Kagbeni to Jomsom (2,800m. /3-4 hours)

The windy land Jomsom is lying at the elevation of 2800 meters above from the sea level. We will start walking from Kagbeni after breakfast to take a scenic flight to Pokhara. Jomsom is the headquarters of Mustang which is an inhabitant of Thakali people with their enrich culture and tradition. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 19: Fly to Pokhara (820m. / 25 minutes)

Today, we will take spectacular flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. In Pokhara, we will have enough time to explore the beautiful city. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 20: Drive (6 hrs)/Fly (30 minutes) back to Kathmandu (1,334m. / 6 hours)

We will travel back to Kathmandu either overland or will take a spectacular flight back to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, we can do some gift shopping. In evening we will join a farewell dinner organized by Trek Nepal Himalayas team. Overnight at hotel.

Day 21: Fly back home

Today, your last day of Nepal staying if you haven`t sufficient time to do another trip with Trek Nepal Himalayas. If your flight is scheduled early morning, then one of our company representatives will escort you to the airport as per your flight departure time. But, if the flight is scheduled later in the evening, you can go shopping and collect a few mementos or simply hang around shopping areas in Kathmandu.

  • Personal climbing equipment
  • Personal climbing guide if requested
  • Optional trips and sightseeing if extended
  • Excess baggage charges (if you have more than 15 kg luggage, cargo charge is around $1.5 per kg)
  • Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara because of early arrival, late departure, early return from mountain (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary
  • Altitude chamber (PAC) or oxygen
  • Lunch and evening meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara (and also in the case of early return from mountain than the scheduled itinerary)
