Gale Gaun is an astonishing village to explore the picturesque view of snowcapped mountains, unspoiled culture and daily lifestyle of local Gurung community which is located at Lamgjung district at an elevation of 2070 meters above from the sea level. Ghale Gaun is only 205 km far from the capital city of Nepal “Kathmandu” and 125 far from Pokhara. Traditional customs are still being followed by the local people on their important occasions as well as daily life.Ghale Gaun is an exotic pristine village endowed with an unparallel scenic grandeur. Ghale gaun trek offers with superb breathtaking view of majestic western Himalayas including Machhapuchhare (6693m) Annapurna I 8091m, II, IV, Lamjung Himal, Himalchuli (6747m) Buddha Himal, himalchuli, Manaslu etc.
The local people perform cultural dances like Ghatu , Dohori, Ghyabring, Krishna Charitra, Jhyaure, Serka etc. on various occasions.The main occupations of the villagers are agriculture and animal husbandry. They keep sheep and goats to make woolen clothes from their wool. They make handbags from nettle fiber and towel and other clothes from rabbit wool. Some of the youths also engage in military groups of the Indian army, Nepal army and the British army.
The trekking trail passes through the dense forest, beautiful village & cascading waterfalls. The trek starts from Khudi after scenic drive to Besisahar.For Ghale Gaun trek it is not necessary any previous outdoor experience, just normal walking experience is enough for Ghale gaun village trek.

The stunning place Khudi is our set destination for this day. After breakfast, in hotel breakfast you will embark on a vehicular journey over the roundabout but comfortable highway towards Besisahar. After reaching the Besi Sahar we start hike to Khudi for Overnight. Overnight at Lodge/ Teahouse.
After breakfast at the lodge, the trek begins toward northwest of Khudi along the bank of the river. It is beautiful walking through the forest and many waterfalls along the way. After a short ascend you reach Ghalegaun village which is beautiful settlement of Gurung which is major ethnic group of Nepal. This evening spend your time to walk around the village. Overnight at lodge/ Teahouse.
Ghalegaun is a beautiful Gurung village; lying at an altitude of approximately 2016 and 2050 respectively is simply awesome. One can enjoy the majestic mountain ridges from this place; the early morning sunrise is simply breathtaking. You will travel around the village exploring different aspects of the traditional Gurung village (Ghale is a sub-class of the Gurung ethnicity) like food, dance (Jhyaure, Sherka, Ghatu etc.), culture, tea garden, etc. A traditional Gurung village Ghan Pokhara is another attraction of this day. We reach in Ghan Pokhara after 30 minutes gentle walk. This place is popularly renowned for astounding bravery Gorkha Soldiers. Overnight at Teahouse/ Lodge.
The Khudi is our set destination for this day from Ghalegaun. We start to walk descending trail through small but impressive traditional village as well dense forest. The trail continues leads along the bank of the river till Khudi. Overnight at Lodge/ Teahouse.
After breakfast, we take scenic drive to Kathmandu by tourist/normal bus as per situation & availability. In Kathmandu, you have significant time to do last minutes shopping in Thamel Kathmandu. Overnight in Hotel.
