Gangapurna(7,455m. / 24,459ft) is one of the conspicuous Himalayan peaks in the Annapurna range. Mount Gangapurna 7455 meters lies in Mustang in-between Tilicho Peak 7134 meters & Annapurna III 7555 meters. The literally Gangapurna means “the water-giving goddess”. Mount Gangapurna Expedition was first ascent by a german expedition on 1965 via the East Ridge.
Mount Gangapurna Expedition offers magnificent views of mighty Himalayas including Mt. Manaslu 8163 meters, Annapurna I 8091 meters, Mt. Annapurna II 7937 meters, Annapurna III 7555 meters, Annapurna IV 7525 meters, , Tilicho peak 7134 meters, Pisang peak 6091 meters , Chulu West Peak 6419 meters, Chulu East Peak, Thorung Peak, as well as diverse landscape, lush valleys , uniqueness of traditional culture of local settlement.
Mount Gangapurna Expedition is technically straightforward. We suggest you should be familiar with the use of peak climbing gear before heading toward expedition such as such as crampons, harness, ice axe, tying knots and handling climbing ropes. Most of the climbing will be involved walking roped together, including the glacial crossings. Trek Nepal Himalayas only suggested Mount Gangapurna Expedition if you are physically sound and mentally prepare for it.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02-03: In Kathmandu optional tour and preparation for Mt. Gangapurna Expeditions.
Day 04: Drive to Syange 1,140m via Besisar – 06 hrs.
Day 05: Trek to Dharapani 1,920m – 05 hours.
Day 06: Trek to Chame 2,670 m – 06 hours.
Day 07: Trek to Pisang village 3,300 m – 05 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Manang 3,520 m – 05 hrs.
Day 09: Rest day in Manang for acclimatization and local hike.
Day 10: Trek to Gangapurna Base Camp 4,500 m- 04 hrs.
Day 11-12: At Gangapurna Base Camp for acclimatization.
Day 13: Climb to Advance Camp 5,730 m – 05 hrs.
Day 14: At Advance Base Camp preparation for the climb.
Day 15-28: 14 days climbing duration to the summit of Mt. Gangapurna.
Day 29: At Base Camp packing and clean up of the Base Camp.
Day 30: Return to Manang – 05 hrs.
Day 31: Trek to Pisang village – 05 hrs
Day 32: Trek to Chame – 05 hrs.
Day 33: Trek to Dharapani – 05 hrs.
Day 34: Trek down to Syange – 06 hrs.
Day 35: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to respective hotels.
Day 36: In Kathmandu free day with individual activities.
Day 37: Departure Day
