Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is an astonishing trekking trail in Nepal, enlisted as one of the most conquered base camp trekking in Nepal after Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp, and Langtang Base Camp Trek. Kanchenjunga (8586) is the highest peak in the world after the great Mount Everest and Mount K2.

Day 1: Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar (81 m) and Drive to Phidim (1,179m)(B/L/D)

Today we fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar. From Biratnagar, we take the private vehicle and drive to Phidim for overnight. Overnight in Teahouse/Hotel.


Day 2: Drive to Suketar (2,420 m) from Phidim (1,179m)(B/L/D)

 Suketar (2420m) is our next destination from Phidim (1,179m). We will stay overnight at Suketar. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 3: Trek to Mitlung (921 )  from Suketar (2,420 m/ 4-5 hrs)(B/L/D)

Suketar (2,420 m) is our real trekking starting point. The trail from Suketar descends and we cross several small local settlements before reaching Mitlung. It takes approx. 4-5 hours walk to reach Mitlung. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 4: Trek to Chirwa (1,270 m) from Mitlung (921 /5-6 hrs)(B/L/D)

The journey of 5-6 hours start from Mitlung (921 m) to Chirwa (1270 M). After crossing the mix path of ups and downs wereach to Sinwa.  Overnight at Teahouse.



Day 5: Trek to Sukathum (1,576 m) from Chirwa (1,270 m /5-6 hrs)(B/L/D)

The journey to Sukathum (1,576 m) from Chirwa (1,270 m) start after breakfast on Chirwa. The journey lead through dense forest, with some with some uphill and downhill along Tamor river and eventually reach to Sukatham. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 6: Trek to Amjilosa (2,308 m) from Sukathum (1,576 m /6-7 hrs)(B/L/D)

A stunning place Amjilosa (2,308 m)  is our today`s set destination from Sukatham. From Sukatham we first cross the suspension bridge we then walk through the dense forest. As we have to walk through difficult trail this day is levelled as tough trekking day. It takes  6-7 hours to reach Amjilosa (2,308 m) from Sukathum. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 7: Trek to Gyabla (2,730 m) from Amjilosa (2,308 m/6-7 hrs)(B/L/D)

After a challenging previous day, today&rsquos trail is relatively easy one. From Amjilosa, the route goes through the dense forest and with some uphill and downhill we reach Gyabla for overnight. One can enjoy Tibetan settlement and their local foods & hospitality. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 8: Trek to Ghunsa (3,595 m) from Gyabla (2,730 m/5-6 hrs)(B/L/D)

Explore the culture, tradition and settlement of local people influence by Tibetan culture and tradition will be amazed. Ghunsa (3,595 m) is our next destination from Gyabla (2,730 m). We reach at Ghunsa after 6 hours challenging walk. The journey lead through dense forest before reaching Ghunsa for overnight from Gyabla(2730m). Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 9: Excursion Day at Ghunsa(B/L/D)

An acclimatization day ay Ghunsa will worthwhile to acclimatize with high altitude.  Laspan La monastery is the major attraction of this day. Enjoy free day. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 10: Trek to Kambachen (4,050 m) from Ghunsa (3,595 m/5-6 hrs)(B/L/D)

The journey to Kambachen (4,050 m) from Ghunsa (3,595 m) leads through dense rhododendron and pine forest. We will also experience some challenging mountain walk to reach Kambachen. Along the way, we will be rewarded with mesmerizing mountain views. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 11: Acclimatization Day at Kambachen (4,050 m)(B/L/D)

Today is our next acclimatization day at Kambachen. Exploring the stunning place Kambachen is another attraction of this day. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 12:Trek to Lhonak (4,780 m) from Kambachen (4,050 m/6-7 hrs)(B/L/D)

Today is our another challenging as well as strenuous trekking day because we will reach the elevation of 4780 Meters. We walk 6-7 hours journey before reaching  Lhonak (4,780 m) from Kambachen (4,050 m). Ramtang monastery and rocky steps are the major attraction of this day. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 13: Trek to Pangpema/Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (5,388 m) from Lhonak (4,780 m /6-7 hrs)(B/L/D)

Our trail today goes through Kanchenjunga Glacier. We will trek through difficult sections to Pangpema, we then climb up where we can get magnificent views Mount Kanchenjunga, Chang Himal and Jannu. Enjoy the views at stay overnight.


Day 14: Trek back to Kambachen (4,050 m) from Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (5,388 m/6-7 hrs)(B/L/D)

On this day we return same way back to Kambachen. It will be a descending trail all the way back to Kambachen. The journey to Kambachen (4050 M) from Kanchenjunga Base Camp will take about 6-7 hours gentle walk. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 15: Trek to Ghunsa (3,595 m) from Kambachen (4,050 m/3-4 hrs)(B/L/D)

The journey to Ghunsa (3,595 m) from Kambachen (4,050 m) descends through beautiful forests. On the way back we can also enjoy spectacular view of different Himalayan ridges. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 16: Trek to Sele Le (4,290 m) from Ghunsa (3,595 m/6-7 hrs)(B/L/D)

After breakfast will start our today`s trek to Se Sele Le (4,290 m) from Ghunsa (3,595 m). The trail from Ghunasa climbs steep up and gradually leads us to Sele Le. As it is an uphill we walk slowly to reach Sele Le (4290 M) for Overnight. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 17: Trek to Cheram (3,870 m) from Sele Le (4,290 m/ 6-7 hrs)(B/L/D)

After breakfast, we tight up our shoes to start trek to Cheram (3870 M) from Sele Le (4290 M). After walking challenging 7hours journey we can reach Cheram for Overnight. During this day`s trek will pass several pass including. Mirgin La, Sinon La and Sinepache. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 18: Trek to Ramche (4,580 m) and trek back to Cheram( 4-5 hrs trek)(B/L/D)

The journey to Ramche (4580 m) is leads through stunning Yamlung glacier , Lapsang Village. From there we continue our walk to the southern face of Kanchenjunga and even up from there for mesmerising views of Jannu Himal and to explore Oktang Monastery. Enjoy exploring. After then we will come back to Cheram for today&rsquos overnight. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 19: Trek to Tortong (2,995 m) from Ramche (4,580 m/5-6 hrs)(B/L/D)

The downhill trek to Tortong (2995 M) from Ramche (4580m) will start after delicious breakfast at teahouse.  The journey leads through dense rhododendron forest will reach at Tortong for Overnight. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 20: Trek to Yamphudin (2,080 m) from Tortong (2,995 m/ 6-7 hrs)(B/L/D)

On this day reaching Yamphudin (2,080 m) from Tortong (2,995 m) is our set destination. The descend journey leads through beautiful local settlement. One can explore gorgeous culture and tradition of local habitat. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 21: Trek to Yang pang (1,007 m) from Yamphudin (2,080 m/ 6-7 hrs)(B/L/D)

Yangpang (1007 M) is our set destination for this day from Yamphudin(2080M). The journey takes about 6-7 hours to reach Yang pang. The trail passes through Mamankhe where we can find Limbu Museum and Cultural center. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 22: Trek to Thorpu (1,500 m) from Yangpang (1,007 m/5-6 hrs)(B/L/D)

After crossing several small but wonderful local settlement we can reach Thorpu (1,500 m) from Yangpang (1,007 m). Definitely, interact with local people along the way to Thorpu will be amazing. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 23: Trek to Birtamod (300 m) from Thorpu (1,500 m/ 5-6 hrs)(B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will drive to Birtamod from Thorpu. We will be at Birtamod after 5-6 hours scenic drive from Thorpu. Overnight at Teahouse.


Day 24: Drive to Bhadrapur and fly back to Kathmandu(B)

On this day we will conclude our Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trekking in Nepal. We drive to Bhadrapur to take scenic 30-35 min fight to Kathmandu. In evening join, farewell dinner organizes by Trek Nepal Himalayas Team. Enjoy typical Nepali food with your trekking team. Overnight at Hotel.

Enchanting Nepal and Bhutan Tour

We went on a short tour to Bhutan and wow what an amazing place! It is so beautiful with its mountain regions and traditional culture. Visiting Tigers Nest monetarist was definitely the highlight of the Bhutan trip. We later returned to Kathmandu and made our way to Pokhara where we took off for the Annapurna Base Camp trek. This was my first time trekking and my fitness level is not the best but Badri and the boys (the sherpa's) were great at catering the trip to our needs. All timings along the way were perfect and we all got to ABC and back without a hitch. Badri and the boys made us feel like we were part of their family and were all smiles and fun. We all played cards together of a night where they taught us to play Dumbal and we taught them Uno. They went above and beyond to cater for us and were watching us like hawks for signs altitude sickness as we got closer to the top. All guest houses that we stayed out were pleasant and all had hot showers. Badri was well respected by the locals along the way and we were welcomed everywhere we went. I actually felt like a bit of a VIP on the mountain when we were trekking with Badri!

I really loved my experience in Nepal and all thanks to Trek Nepal Himalayas. I'm going to miss these guys and can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Trip !!!

I recently spent three and a half weeks holidaying in Nepal with Trek Nepal Himalayas. My partner and I arrived a few days early from the organised tour and Badri from Trek Nepal Himalayas was very accommodating to us by organising our extra accommodation, picking us up from the airport, and organised an extra day tour for us to Nagarkot which was really nice. They also arranged for us to visit the old palace (now a museum) and the Garden of dreams. After the rest of the group arrived we did some sight seeing around Kathmandu visiting the monkey temple, durbar square, the Boudhanath temple and the crematorium.

Our guide Nawin and and other guides arranged throughout the tour were all very knowledgeable of the history of each place that we visited and gave good commentary along the way. Next we went on a day trip to Badri's village. In organising this tour, our group wanted to help out after the earthquake. It turned out Badri's village was badly damaged by the quake and the school was destroyed.
When planing this trip we arranged with Badri for him to take us out to his village so we could make donations of stationary, toys and sporting goods to the school. The village was well off the beaten track and it was a unique opportunity to visit an area that tourists generally don't get to see. The scenery along the way was magic and the drive was quite an adventure. When we arrived the whole village was out to give us a warm friendly welcome with marigold flower necklaces and we each received a blessing. The kids were so excited to see us and were over the moon to receive our donations of stationary, sporting goods and toys.I t was a truly beautiful experience and these memories will stay in my heart forever. This went so well that Badri is now putting together optional side tours for future tour groups to visit his village and villages like his for tourists to make donations to the local schools. I highly recommend you do this as it is such a feel good moment and the emotional joy of it all will is so overwhelming it will make you teary.

Fantastic Trekking trip to Everest Base Camp

A group of us trekked to Everest Base Camp with Trek Nepal Himalayas recently. It was a great trip that was full of memorable moments and amazing views. Our guide Badri was very patient with each of us. He was knowledgeable, encouraging, accommodating and helpful. He not only provided excellent guide services and made sure the group had a safe trip, but also took care of his porter team. Our trip wouldn’t be this successful without the encouragement and support from Badri and the assistant guide Karan. During the time we stayed in Kathmandu, Badri and his staff offered great assistance to ensure we had a great time. If you are planning to visit Nepal, I highly recommend Trek Nepal Himalayas.

Bhutan and Annapurna Base Camp trek - Incredible!

Three weeks with Trek Nepal Himalayas was an incredible experience. Our adventure included a day tour of Kathmandu, Everest flight with champagne at sunrise, flights to Bhutan with a few days touring around there. Our highlight in Bhutan was the climb to Tiger's Nest monastery and the amazing views from there.
Ten days trekking to Annapurna Base camp was wonderful. Our guide Badri made sure all our needs were met along the way. Nawin, our first in charge was very accommodating as well as the other 3 porters who lugged our stuff so we only had to carry a day pack.

Sunrise at Poon Hill was a must as well as putting up prayer flags at sunrise at the summit of our trip, Annapurna base camp. Just fab.

Inspirational, amazing and a humbling experience.
