Manaslu Larke Pass is an unspoiled trekking route in the Manaslu region because Nepalese government only permitted in 1991 AD. Manaslu is the 8th highest Himalayan ridge of the world lies at the elevation of 8163 meters and is located in the west-central Part of Nepal near to the Tibet border.
Manaslu Larke La Pass Trek offers a combination of rich cultural heritage, unsurpassed beauty, and biological diversity.
During this trip, one can see 10 peaks above 6500 meters such as Manaslu peak (8156m), Larke Peak, Naike Peak, Lamjung, Phungi(South Face), Himlung (NW), Cheo Himal etc.
Lake La (5160 meters) is the high point of Manaslu Larke La Pass Trek In October 2020. The trek kick off after 6 – 7 hours scenic drive to Gorkha. The path of stunning trek passes through ethnic Gurung settlement, rhododendron & oak forests. We only suggest this trek if you are physically and mentally fit to do high altitude and hazardous trek.
Early morning, you will catch your bus from New Bus Park to Sotikhola. Along the way, you will pass several small and big settlements. Once you arrive in Soti Khola, your guide will transfer to the teahouse for the overnight. Overnight at the teahouse.
Here you start your trekking. The trail is an easy trekking trail. Along the way, you will cross the small Gurung settlement called Lapubesi. From there you will continue you trekking through Khanibesi and ultimately to Machha Khola. From Machha Khola you can collect the North East view of Ganesh Himal. Overnight at a teahouse.
From Machha Khola the trails slowly ascend to Khorlabesi which offers you the wonderful view of Ganesh Himal. Along the way, at Yaru Phat you can see an amazing waterfall. You then trek through the rock and stone paved trail. Just before Jagat, you will pass a bridge that is made of the rock. From Jagat, you can enjoy the superb views of Sringi Himal. Overnight at a teahouse.
The trail to Deng is mostly rough at uphill. Deng is another small Gurung settlement which offers the superb views of Siringi Himal. Mani wall is another attraction of Deng. Overnight at the teahouse.
The trail from Deng to Ghap combines uphill, downhill and the easy trekking path. From Deng you will first get to Ghap, then you will trek through the dense pine and rhododendron forest to get Namrung for the overnight. Namrung is a small Gurung village which offers the stunning views of Siringi Himal and Ganesh Himal. Namala Gompa is another attraction of Namrung. Overnight at Namrung.
The trail from Namrung to Lho is an easy trekking route. The wonderful view of Manaslu mountain greets us all the way. At Lamagaon you can collect the magnificent views of Himchuli. Little ahead, Sho welcomes with wonderful views of the Manaslu North face and Naike Peak. From Lho you can catch the panoramic view of Manaslu Massif. Rimung Monastery and the Mani walls are another attractions of Lho. Overnight at Lho.
Walk through the Mani walls then pass a big Chortens before Shyala then you will continue the trekking to Samagaon. Manaslu will accompany you all the way to Samagaon. Samagaon is a wonderful Gurung village with Tibetan like traditions and culture plus the views of Manaslu, Larke peak and Naike Peak is absolutely fantastic. Overnight at a teahouse.
An extra day in Samagoan is always worthwhile. Today you can either hike up to Manaslu Base Camp(4400m.) or visit the wonderful Birendra Tal. On the free time, you can just relax. Overnight at the teahouse.
From Samagaon, you will take steep uphill trail first to Kyonggma Kharka where you can see the stone huts plus long Mani walls. Samdo will welcome you with stunning views of Naike and Pangboche peak. You can also explore the Taka Chouling Gompa in Samdo. Overnight at Samdo.
The trail from Samdo first ascends to Larkya Bazar which is a fair seasonal Tibetan market. Further, you will trek to Larkya Phedi. You can enjoy the superb views of Larkya Peak and Naike Peak from Dharamsala. Overnight.
One of the tough trekking day where you will first walk through the Moraine route to the pass. You can see the Larkya Glacier along the way. During the pass, you can enjoy the magnificent views of Kanguru, Annapurna II, Himlung Cheo Himal, Gyaji Kang, Larkya Peak, Namjung Himal plus Ranta Chuli.After Larya La pass the trail is steep descent plus grassy moraine. As it is rock fall area walk carefully.
Upon your arrival in Bumthang, you can take a good rest with stunning views of Lamjung, Manaslu, Phungi south face, Himlung plus Cheo Himal. Overnight hotel.
First, descend down to Hampuk, a rock shelter cave then to Yak Kharka. Further, you will be trekking through Gho-a Gurung village. Further more you will trek to Tilije for the overnight. Overnight.
This day you drive to Besisahar from Dharapani. Overnight.
The final day of the trek, this day you will drive back to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, you will have time for the last-minute shopping. Overnight.

We went on a short tour to Bhutan and wow what an amazing place! It is so beautiful with its mountain regions and traditional culture. Visiting Tigers Nest monetarist was definitely the highlight of the Bhutan trip. We later returned to Kathmandu and made our way to Pokhara where we took off for the Annapurna Base Camp trek. This was my first time trekking and my fitness level is not the best but Badri and the boys (the sherpa's) were great at catering the trip to our needs. All timings along the way were perfect and we all got to ABC and back without a hitch. Badri and the boys made us feel like we were part of their family and were all smiles and fun. We all played cards together of a night where they taught us to play Dumbal and we taught them Uno. They went above and beyond to cater for us and were watching us like hawks for signs altitude sickness as we got closer to the top. All guest houses that we stayed out were pleasant and all had hot showers. Badri was well respected by the locals along the way and we were welcomed everywhere we went. I actually felt like a bit of a VIP on the mountain when we were trekking with Badri!
I really loved my experience in Nepal and all thanks to Trek Nepal Himalayas. I'm going to miss these guys and can't wait to go back!
I recently spent three and a half weeks holidaying in Nepal with Trek Nepal Himalayas. My partner and I arrived a few days early from the organised tour and Badri from Trek Nepal Himalayas was very accommodating to us by organising our extra accommodation, picking us up from the airport, and organised an extra day tour for us to Nagarkot which was really nice. They also arranged for us to visit the old palace (now a museum) and the Garden of dreams. After the rest of the group arrived we did some sight seeing around Kathmandu visiting the monkey temple, durbar square, the Boudhanath temple and the crematorium.
Our guide Nawin and and other guides arranged throughout the tour were all very knowledgeable of the history of each place that we visited and gave good commentary along the way. Next we went on a day trip to Badri's village. In organising this tour, our group wanted to help out after the earthquake. It turned out Badri's village was badly damaged by the quake and the school was destroyed.
When planing this trip we arranged with Badri for him to take us out to his village so we could make donations of stationary, toys and sporting goods to the school. The village was well off the beaten track and it was a unique opportunity to visit an area that tourists generally don't get to see. The scenery along the way was magic and the drive was quite an adventure. When we arrived the whole village was out to give us a warm friendly welcome with marigold flower necklaces and we each received a blessing. The kids were so excited to see us and were over the moon to receive our donations of stationary, sporting goods and toys.I t was a truly beautiful experience and these memories will stay in my heart forever. This went so well that Badri is now putting together optional side tours for future tour groups to visit his village and villages like his for tourists to make donations to the local schools. I highly recommend you do this as it is such a feel good moment and the emotional joy of it all will is so overwhelming it will make you teary.
A group of us trekked to Everest Base Camp with Trek Nepal Himalayas recently. It was a great trip that was full of memorable moments and amazing views. Our guide Badri was very patient with each of us. He was knowledgeable, encouraging, accommodating and helpful. He not only provided excellent guide services and made sure the group had a safe trip, but also took care of his porter team. Our trip wouldn’t be this successful without the encouragement and support from Badri and the assistant guide Karan. During the time we stayed in Kathmandu, Badri and his staff offered great assistance to ensure we had a great time. If you are planning to visit Nepal, I highly recommend Trek Nepal Himalayas.
Three weeks with Trek Nepal Himalayas was an incredible experience. Our adventure included a day tour of Kathmandu, Everest flight with champagne at sunrise, flights to Bhutan with a few days touring around there. Our highlight in Bhutan was the climb to Tiger's Nest monastery and the amazing views from there.
Ten days trekking to Annapurna Base camp was wonderful. Our guide Badri made sure all our needs were met along the way. Nawin, our first in charge was very accommodating as well as the other 3 porters who lugged our stuff so we only had to carry a day pack.
Sunrise at Poon Hill was a must as well as putting up prayer flags at sunrise at the summit of our trip, Annapurna base camp. Just fab.
