Everest view trek is a short and easy trekking in Everest Region. A trek to see the stunning sunrise view in Mount Everest, Everest view trek is 7 days amazing trekking till Tengboche. Like its name, the Everest sunrise view trek amazes you with the stunning sunrise and sunset view in Mount Everest.

The Everest view trek, not just offers to see the sunrise and sunset in Everest but also allows you to explore the Sherpa cultures, the living style of the people in Himalayas and to visit some of the oldest Buddhist monasteries. During the Everest view trek is a wonderful trekking experience in the high Himalayas.

Everest View Trek Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1334m.) and transfer to the hotel.

Day 02:  Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and trekking preparation

Day 03: Scenic flight to Lukla (45 minutes) and trek to Phakding (2,652m. /4-5 hours trekking/ 8km approx.):

Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazar (3,440m. /5-6 hours trekking/ 10km approx.).: –

Day 05: Acclimatization day.

Day 06: Trek to Tengboche (3870m./5-6 hours trekking/ 10km approx.): –

Day 07: Trek back to Namche Bazar (3,440m. /5-6 hours trekking/ 10km approx.).

Day 08: Trek back to Lukla (2860m./6-7 hours trek/ 14 km approx. )

Day 09: Fly back to Kathmandu (1334m./45 minutes flight) and last minute shopping

Everest View Trek Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1334m.) and transfer to the hotel. 

Upon your arrival, our representative will welcome you and will assist you to the hotel. Get refreshed from the jet lag. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and trekking preparation. (Breakfast and Dinner Included)

Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing is dedicated to introducing four of the UNESCO World Heritage Listed sites in Kathmandu which includes, Soyambhunath-The Monkey Temple, Pashupatinath-The Crematory place, Boudhanath- The Largest Buddhist Stupa in South Asia and Kathmandu Durbar Square- ancient palace place. In the evening, you will be enjoying welcome dinner at traditional Nepali restaurant with cultural program. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Scenic flight to Lukla (45 minutes) and trek to Phakding (2,652m. /4-5 hours trekking/ 8km approx.)(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included) 

Take a scenic flight to Lukla airport. The flight to Lukla is always an adventurous one. In Lukla, you will meet your remaining crews then you will start your trekking. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi river. Walking through the stone walls and collecting the pictures of painted Mani walls makes the trek wonderful. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Trek to Namche Bazar (3,440m. /5-6 hours trekking/ 10km approx.)(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)

From Phakding the trail ascends up to Monju then to Jorsalle. Once you cross the Larja Bridge the trail again ascends up and on a clear day, you can collect the first glimpse of Mount Everest. Further hike up to Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar is traditional Sherpa village and also widely popular as The Sherpa Capital. In Namche, you can money exchange to exchange the money plus the internet café for surfing. Overnight at the teahouse.

Day 5: Hike to Everest View Point and Later visit Sherpa Capital(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included) 

After breakfast, you will hike up to Everest View Point. The hiking will be of two hours of hiking to the top. From the view point, you can see the stunning views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam and other snowcapped mountains. After collecting the wonderful views of Mountains, you will then trek back to Namche Bazar for the lunch.
After the lunch, you can either go and visit the Sherpa Capital or can just take the rest in your hotel.

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3870m./5-6 hours trekking/ 10km approx.) (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)

One of the exciting day of the trekking. As you pass the Tenzing Norgay Memorial Stupa, little further you can catch the first yet wonderful views of Ama Dablam, Lhotse Shar, Taboche, Kangtega, and Thamserku. At Phuke, you can water driven prayer wheels. You will then trek further to Tengboche.

Tengboche offers the magnificent views of mountains including Mount Everest. Another highlight of Tengboche is the Tengboche Monastery, the biggest monastery in Khumbu Region. Overnight at the teahouse.

Day 7: Trek back to Namche Bazar (3,440m. /5-6 hours trekking/ 10km approx.)(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)

Wake early morning to collect the stunning sunrise view. After collecting the superb views, you will then take the breakfast. Then after you will trek same way back to Namche Bazar. Overnight at the teahouse.

Day 8: Trek back to Lukla (2860m./6-7 hours trek/ 14 km approx. )(Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included) 

From Namche Bazar, you will trek back to Lukla. The route of the trekking is the same as you followed going up. Overnight at the teahouse.

Availability:- Electricity, Mobile Network, Wifi, Hot Shower,  Mineral water 

Day 9: Fly back to Kathmandu (1334m./45 minutes flight) and last minute shopping (Breakfast Included)

You will take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, you will have enough time for the last-minute shopping. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 10: Fly back home(Breakfast Included)

You will be transferred to the airport to catch your returning flight back home.

 

Best Season for Everest View Trek 

Spring (March-May)

  • Spring is one of the best seasons. As you trek through the rhododendron forest you can see the rhododendron blooming around plus the views also get clearer

Autumn (September-November) 

  • Autumn is another best season for Everest Panorama Trekking. This time around, the views get clear and amazing.

Winter (December-February)

  • Not recommended.

Monsoon(June-August)

  • Everest Panorama Trekking in Monsoon is not recommended because the heavy rainfall happens.
    Flights might be disturbed.

Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)

It gets when you go up in the high mountains where the air is thin.
Symptoms

  • Headache
  • Problem on breathing
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea and Vomiting
  • Fatigue/loss of energy
  • Loss of appetite

 

Techniques for preventing AMS

  • Walk slowly and take small breaks during the trekking
  • Drink more water and avoid alcohol
  • Take acclimatization days during the trek
  • Avoid smoking
  • Eat light and high-calorie diets, foods in rich potassium is recommend
  • Get prepare with the warms clothes
  • It is better to try some hiking before going the high altitude.
  • Some Medication Suggestion of AMS

 

Paracetamol and Ibuprofen for headaches

  • Anti-sickness medicines, like promethazine for nausea
  • Acetazolamide to prevent and treat high altitude sickness

 

Common AMS treatment

  • Descend down to the lower altitude and go up again once you feel better. If it does not improve even after descending or get worse then you should see the doctor.
  • Take the suggested medicine, take ibuprofen or paracetamol for a headache, if you feel sick then take anti-sickness medicines.
  • Always share your companions if you are not feeling well so that they can help you before it is too late.

Foods, you get during the trekking is safe and healthy. In the altitude, we recommend you to eat the local food and the vegetarian. Our guides are knowledgeable will take you to the best places for the food.

 

Everest View Trek Drinking Water 

During the trekking, you can get the bottled water easily and it cost US$ 2 in the low elevations and US$ 3-4 in higher elevations. Next option would be, taking 1 or 2-liter water bottle plus the water purifier with you so that you can use tap or spring water.

Flight Delays

Sometimes flights delay to and from Lukla are expected. In the worst case, if you cannot fly in/out  Lukla, then we will arrange the sharing helicopter which normally cost US$ 500 extra per person.

Explore Sherpa Capital. It is always better to have an acclimatization day in Namche Bazar which allows your body to adapt the thin air. You can also explore the Sherpa capital in the day time. Overnight at the teahouse.

 

Day 6: Trek to Tengboche (3870m./5-6 hours trekking/ 10km approx.):

Day 10: Fly back home
You will be transferred to the airport to catch your returning flight back home.
