In the notice dated 2081/11/04 (Ref. No. 2081/082, File No. 787), officials pointed out that recent meetings of the District Level Wildlife Crime Control Unit in Rasuwa revealed that tourists often find themselves lost or in distress due to the steep trails and unpredictable weather.
The lack of a knowledgeable guide has been a key factor in the delayed response during emergencies.
As a result, it is now mandatory for every trekking group in Langtang National Park to be accompanied by a certified guide to help manage emergencies and provide local insights.
