Chulu East Peak Climbing

The captivating Chulu East peak 6584 meters /21,601fts is standing just north of the gorgeous Annapurna massif. Chulu East is part of the Chulurange, which consists of Chulu West 6429 meters/21093 ft, Chulu Far East 6029 meters/19750 ft & Chulu West 6584 meters/21601 ft.

Chulu East Peak Climbing offers the awe-inspiring view of mighty Himalayan cliffs such as Annapurna I 8,091 meters /26,545 ft, Annapurna II 7,937 meters/ 26,040 ft, Annapurna III 7,555 meters/24,786 ft, Mount Manaslu 8,163 meters /26,763ft, Mount Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna 7,455 meters/24,457 ft, Glacier Dome, & Tilicho peak. The Chulu Peak was first successfully conquered by Germany Expedition on 1955 via the northeast.

Chulu East Peak Climbing is technically quite awkward for the fresh mountaineer. The climbing grade as PD + means ‘per difficult’ from French and Swiss Alpine climbing systems of extreme effort with some technical difficulty to reach the summit but can be climbed with much safety measures and guidance of expert guides. Therefore, we suggested that you must have previous high-altitude experience.

Not only that, you should be familiar with the use of your climbing gears & equipment such as crampons, harness, ice axe, tying knots and handling climbing ropes. Most of the climbing will be involved walking roped together, including the glacial crossings. To approach the summit of Chulu East Peak commences after a scenic drive to Besisahar.

Chulu East Peak Climbing trip is interesting as it goes through an Annapurna Conservation Area. The Conservation area is rich in natural and cultural diversities, the jaw-dropping landscape of snow-clad cliffs in the background. The trek continues through the Yak pastures above the beautiful settlement of Manang.

Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) authorizes the peaks climbing permit through government registered trekking companies only. After your successful summit of Chulu East, you will make your way up through the Throng La Pass (5416m) then down into the spectacular Muktinath valley.

The next day we descend to Jomsom and then takes a scenic flight to Pokhara.
